A Walk Down Memory Lane

About a month ago I was transported back to the start of my career. It was a huge pleasure to host Robin Walker, now 82, whom I invited across from Guernsey to look at what we had laid on top of the foundations that he and others had built. Robin employed me as a Trainee Manager back in 1990; clearly a highlight in a career that spanned from 1964 to 2001.

Here he is, admiring a younger version of himself in our ‘wall of fame’ in Co-operative House, St Helier.

Brilliant to catch up with long retired colleagues Brian Smith and John Cuthbertson too. Our Society would not have become what it is now without them.
