We recently held our Annual Rewards and Recognition Awards evening and this for me is the standout event in our corporate calendar. It gives us a chance to get together and celebrate the efforts of our colleagues and teams over the past year, and to share some remarkable stories of their achievements - and this year was no exception!
Store of the Year went to the team at Locale Sion who have had a fantastic year on so many fronts. Huge congratulations to the team at Locale Sion - this is the award that every store wants to win!
Store of the Year: Locale Sion Manager, Joao Lima and his team with Ben Shenton, Society President
Our Community Store of the Year was En Route St Mary for their recognised acts of kindness towards their customers.
Community Store of the Year: En Route St Mary Manager, Sergio Marcelino and his team with Ben Shenton, Society President
Caryn Wells, from Co-operative House deservedly picked up our overall Ambassador of the Year Award.
Society Ambassador: Caryn Wells with Ben Shenton, Society President
Caryn really wanted to make a real difference to the communities we serve, especially those people living in our community on the autism spectrum. She showed great enthusiasm and worked hard liaising with Autism Jersey, Autism Guernsey and with our store teams to initiate training that ensured our colleagues were aware of the autism spectrum characteristics and the impact that a ‘Quiet Hour’ could have on customers.
‘Quiet Hour’ is now a permanent feature every Monday between 3:00pm and 4:00pm in our Jersey and Guernsey Grand Marché stores. Well done Caryn!
