Variety and your Society: A Winning Team

alt
Variety, the children’s charity is very close to our hearts here at The Channel Islands Co-operative Society. As I’ve said before, it’s been a great privilege of mine to work alongside Sandra Auckland in supporting the Variety Star of the Year Awards as key sponsors for the past six years.

The 2016 Variety World Conference, held recently at the Radisson Blu in Jersey, was attended by Variety members and supporters from all over the world. This wonderful charity relentlessly offers encouragement and help to disabled and underprivileged children, not just here in our islands but across the globe.

Variety resonates completely with the Society’s aim to play a meaningful role in the community. We wholeheartedly believe in the importance of searching for and recognising the many inspirational young people who make their community, our Island, a better place to live.

I was absolutely thrilled to accept the Variety International Corporate Award recognising the true and much valued partnership shared between Variety and the Society. Long may it continue.

Special thanks must go to Sandra Auckland of Variety Jersey who nominated us for this award. This is a great accolade and one that I am extremely proud of.
